About Artist
Nadia Russ is a Ukrainian-born Russian artist living in USA. She and other art professionals and art critics call her unique style of visual arts “NeoPopRealism”, a term which she created in 2003. NeoPopRealism combines the brightness and simplicity of pop art with deep realism, high color energy and graphic nature. Her first exhibit was established in the Manege in Moscow in 1990, and her first American art exhibit debuted in 1992. Nadia Russ’s work was exhibited in Central America, Europe and the Caribbean. In 1999-2000 she had her gallery in the Xanadu hotel located in Freeport, Bahamas. Since 2000 she lives in USA.
The NY Daily News has referred to her art as “bold and fanciful…" and the NY ArtsMagazine has called Nadia ”...a master of balancing the hi energy colors in her compositions with poetic drawing style…”.
At the end of 2006 and beginning 2007 several Ukrainian art museums collected her NeoPopRealist work. It is Simferopol, Sumy, Lebedyn Art Museums and D. Burliuk Foundation. Later Nadia Russ's works were collected by WEAM (World Erotic Art Museum) in Miami Beach, Ukrainian Museum in New York, MOYA (Museum Of Young Art), Vienna, Austria and Kinsey Institute of Indiana University.
